Camisoles and Shorts
A camisole (or cami) covers the top part of the body and is normally worn with shorts or pyjama pants.  It is sleeveless and tight fitting in contrast to a loose-fitting chemise made from satin or silk, or stretchy materials such as lycra, though cotton based materials are more common.  A camisole can be worn over a bra or without one.  Recently, camisoles have been known to be used as outerwear.

An alternative to the camisole (although very similar) is the vest and these are normally tight fitting, made from cotton and can come with printed logos and patterns. Whether you opt for a camisole or vest is entirely down to personal preference.  Both camisole and vest can be worn with either matching or contrasting shorts.  These are sold separately or more often they come as cami sets.

If you prefer less coverage try a chemise.
