Choose a comfortable and stylish
daytime dress
or make a lasting impression in an
evening dress. Always hot are
little black party dresses,
asymmetric cuts
and the
bodycon dress
with figure hugging lines. The sparkly the better for the evening.
Ball and evening gowns
are long flowing dresses that are normally required at formal affairs. Evening gowns are required when the dress code is semi-formal and corresponds to invitations requesting a "black tie" dress code. Ball gowns on the other had are required when it is formal or a "white tie" or "evening dress" dress code.
Cocktail dresses
are sometime suitable for semi-formal events (our advise is always to confirm this if the dress code is black tie) but more generally for cocktail parties, where the atmosphere is generally more relaxed.
Little black dresses
are basically shorter evening dresses or cocktail dresses that were immortalised by the famous fashion designer Coco Channel in the 1920s. Probably the most essential wardrobe item that no woman should be without - it's uses are endless. They are so ingrained in fashion they are known by the abbreviation
LBD
that it is, for most women, almost an unwritten rule.
Knitted dresses
are very popular in the winter as they are standard jumpers stretched lengthways and shaped to fit around your hips. Perfect for those colder days. Team with matching opaque tights for an upto date look.
